This Reuters story reports “Home prices flat after five months of gains“.
U.S. home prices were unchanged in October, according to the widely watched Standard & Poor’s/Case-Shiller indexes released on Tuesday, indicating stabilization in the hard-hit housing sector though the figures dashed hopes for a sixth straight monthly increase.
The S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Indices measures the residential housing market, tracking changes in the value of the residential real estate market in 20 metropolitan regions across the United States. Las Vegas, the worst performing market in the index was the only city that has yet to see any gain. Reno is not included in the index.
